Ecclesiastes 10: Not too much to say which isnā€™t surprising since Iā€™m just trying to get through this book. I did find these verses interesting:

7/29 Reading (Exodus 19-21; Psalms 15-17)

Exodus 19: Moses and the people reach Sinai in this chapter. God tells Moses to tell the people that ā€œif you obey my voice and keep my covenant, you shall be my treasured possession out of all the peoplesā€ (Ex. 19.5). God then tells Moses that he will come to him in the form of a dense cloud and he wants the people to witness it so they will continue to trust Moses. The people are told this will happen in three days, so they prepare. They are also told that they may not touch the mountain or they will be put to death. At first Israel says no, but Judah convinces him saying ā€œThen Judah said to his father Israel, ā€˜Send the boy with me, and let us be on our way, so that we may live and not dieā€”you and we and also our little ones. ā¹ I myself will be surety for him; you can hold me accountable for him. If I do not bring him back to you and set him before you, then let me bear the blame forever.ā€™ā€ (Gen. 43.8-9) Israel agrees and tells them to all bring gifts for the man (Joseph) along with the money from the first trip and more money to pay this time.
