9/15 Reading (Deuteronomy 31-33; 1 Thessalonians 3)

I find each of the three chapters in Deuteronomy to be interesting. One part is the consistent reference to future failures amongĀ the people. That mustā€™ve been hard to hear.

Not much else to say here.

Deuteronomy 31: Moses makes arrangements for his death. He appoints Joshua as leader and tells the Levites that they have to do the teaching every 7 years. Iā€™m assuming this is the covenant law.

Deuteronomy 32: Song of Moses. Itā€™s really pretty and interesting. Thereā€™s reference to the ā€œdivine councilā€ again. I would like to read more about this.

Deuteronomy 33: Moses gives blessings to each tribe in this chapter.

1 Thessalonians 3: We hear about Timothyā€™s trip to visit the people and his good report on them.
