9/15 Reading (Deuteronomy 31-33; 1 Thessalonians 3)

I find each of the three chapters in Deuteronomy to be interesting. One part is the consistent reference to future failures among the people. That must’ve been hard to hear.

Not much else to say here.

Deuteronomy 31: Moses makes arrangements for his death. He appoints Joshua as leader and tells the Levites that they have to do the teaching every 7 years. I’m assuming this is the covenant law.

Deuteronomy 32: Song of Moses. It’s really pretty and interesting. There’s reference to the “divine council” again. I would like to read more about this.

Deuteronomy 33: Moses gives blessings to each tribe in this chapter.

1 Thessalonians 3: We hear about Timothy’s trip to visit the people and his good report on them.
